Moon Beach Resort
The Moon Beach Simeulue Resort officially opened in 2013. The resort is an exclusive retreat right on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean in scenic Lantik Bay on the Tropical Island of Simeulue, Sumatra, Indonesia. The Resort offers the only truly luxury accommodation on Simeulue for up to 8 guests, with 1 deluxe twin bed villa sleeps 2 – 3 people and 1 luxury 2-bedroom villa with twin beds per room sleeps 4 – 5 people. The villas each have a comfy sofa that can be replaced with an extra bed for group bookings of 3 or 5 people. Both Villas can be made into a double bed configuration for couples. The villas features private western bath rooms with deep bathtubs and hot water dispenser with a very spacious balcony surrounded with landscaped gardens, a very private location with stunning ocean views to relax and chill out.

Luxury Villas
Our Luxury & Deluxe Villas are built to Australian standards they are the only Four Star rooms available on Simeulue. Each Villa has a different theme The Deluxe "Coconuts Villa" derives its name from being built entirely from coconut wood and nestled amongst tall Coconut trees surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. The Luxury `Beach Almond Villa` Is named after the the Beach Almond trees that surround the resort and the beach front area. They are tastefully furnished with a mix of driftwood and coconut wood for a truly unique finish. Ocean views, large deck area with board racks, external shower, bathtubs, hot water dispenser, Ceiling fans, mini bar fridge, sofa beds for an extra guest or child and fully screened, make your stay stress free.

Standard Villa
Our standard villas comprise a two story A-frame building with 2 single twin share beds in each villa, they are surrounded by private tropical gardens, both have external bathrooms with shower and Western / Asian toilets. And include ceiling fans, mini bar fridge and window screens. The ground floor villa 'Castaways' can be made into a triple 3 bed configuration for larger groups or a double for couples. There is also an attractive private communal area in front of the ground floor villa .The top floor 'The Loft' Villa has stunning ocean views from the top floor balcony both with plenty of seating for guests to hang out and enjoy the view out to the beach and ocean with board racks for both villas.

Location
The Moon Beach Resort is located in scenic Desa Lantik Teupah Barat Simeulue Island Aceh and only 10 minutes by car from Sinabang Airport and 25 minutes from the main shopping town of Sinabang. Simeulue lies 3 degrees north of the equator on the northern end of the Banyak group of islands off the West Sumatran coast.
The Resort is a beautiful facility that sits right on the foreshore of the Indian Ocean with long white sandy beaches overlook the serene unique lush tropical Islands of Teupah, Mincau and Seflak Isle. Our beach is quiet safe for swimming so you can plunge in for some great body surfing or catch some good beach breaks right in front or just sit on your deck and soak up the tranquility.
We are ideally located in the centre of the Western beaches area and only 5 minutes from the Peak and 12 minutes for Dylan’s with waves extending north and south of us up to one hour away in each direction. We are also only 5 minutes from the local boat harbor with deep water access on all tides with only one hour & half hour run out to the drop-off in our 8 meter game boat.

Food & Beverages
The Resort has the best food and personal service offered on Simeulue, we provide for all your meals included in our room rate as well as free tea / coffee / purified water available 24 hours in the dining room. We are fairly flexible with meal times so if you give us some notice that you could be late back we will make sure you always have food available when you come back tired and hungry.
Breakfast; Select your breakfast each morning from our Menu. Breakfast is served from 8.00 am to 10 am
consisting of fresh Juice and fruit plus your choice of either two pieces of Toast with eggs any style or jam, plus a verity of Asian dishes, special fried rice or fried noodles or boiled noodles or white rice or banana pancakes. For the early birds we provide, juice, fruit, toast, tea & coffee at the Dining room on a self-serve basis, plus you can have a late breakfast when you come back.
Lunch; A nutritious lunch is normally from 12 pm to 2 pm but if you are late back we will make sure you don’t go hungry, consisting of a variety of western food, beef/chicken salads & fries, toasted smoked beef/chicken/ tomato, onion & cheese sandwiches, plus a verity of Asian favourites such as special fried rice, fried & boiled noodles dishes plus many more.
Dinner; The evening meal is from 7 pm to 8 pm with a variety of delicious meals such as beef curry or casserole, fettuccine with beef or seafood sauce, grilled fish, stir-fry prawns & calamari, pizza & chicken cooked in a verity of western & Asian cousin. We also cater for those of you who prefer vegetarian or glutton free dishes just tell our staff who will be happy to prepare various dishes for you.
To insure our guests are provided with delicious & nutritious food no expense will be spared in the purchase and presentation of fresh clean local & imported products for our kitchen. The Resort has it's own organic paw paw, banana & pineapple farm and grows many different vegetables and herbus.
Mini Bar Fridge; will be stocked with beverages for purchase. Staff will fill out your mini bar purchases daily for your signature and payment prior to departure or daily as you wish.
All Day Menu; Fresh juice is available along with other hot or cold snack food such as (fries / spring rolls / toasted sandwiches) please see our All Day Menu for pricing. We hope to keep you fed well enough that you won’t need snacks, however for the hungry ones the menu is available for guests and your friends to purchase on request.
