Pre - Arrival Medan / Simeulue
|

Once you have made your Booking you will receive an Invoice showing your 20% Holding Deposit payable within 7 days or your booking will cancel.
When you have paid your deposit we will confirm your payment with a Booking Conformation Receipt. You can then proceed to book your international flights to Medan.
When you have booked your international flights you can then complete our Online Customer Domestic Flights Information Form (a link is attached to your Booking Conformation Receipt) to arrange your domestic travel to Simeulue. All fields must be completed for ALL guests or group members.
Once we receive your completed form we will send you a detailed "Estimated Cost" for your domestic flights, board bags and as required Medan overnight Hotel and return Airport transfers.

Final Accommodation payment is due 40 days prior to your departure date (we will send you a reminder invoice) Once we receive your final payment you will receive a "Booking Conformation Voucher" please print and retain this Voucher for presentation on arrival at the Resort.
There are TWO airlines now flying daily to Simeulue, Lion Wings 50 seat twin turbo prop and Susi Air 12 seat Cesena Caravan. We cannot guarantee that your planned arrival dates / times will be available until time of booking and paying for your tickets. Neither Airline will accept deposits or part payments only 100% payment of your ticket will insure you're booking.
Approximately 3 months prior to your departure date we will send you a confirmed Invoice cost for your domestic travel arrangements including Agents booking fees, or alternatively you can make your own Domestic travel arrangements.

Domestic tickets, hotel and airport transfers at Invoice costs (100%) 3 months prior to your departure date.

Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. Or you will not be allowed to enter Indonesia.
•
VISA on arrival at Medan Airport $35.00 USD Cash valid for 30 days for Australian, American and most European
countries. Indonesia also has free Visa list for certain countries.

Airline Related Information:

Due to occasional domestic and International flight delays we recommend all guests book into a Hotel on the way IN to Medan, to ensure that sufficient time is available to meet your flight schedules without loss of your tickets. As your booking agent we will not accept any liability due to flight delays causing loss of your domestic or international tickets beyond our control.
•
Flights Medan - Simeulue; You can choose at your own risk to transit same day to Simeulue for this, your International flight MUST arrive at Medan Kualanamu Airport (KNO) No later than 11.00 hrs local time. If after 11.00 am THEN you will need to stay overnight in Medan and catch the Susi Air 6.50 hrs or the Lion Wings 13.20 hrs flight the following day to Simeulue Airport (SSV) on arrival MBR provides Free Resort transfers.

Board Bags Lion Wings wings policy is to present your board bags at departure check in, max boards 2 to 4 in one board bag with a max weight up to 30kg.
Note; Wings can only take 8 board bags per flight so get in early, excess board bags will be sent on the following days flight.

Board Bags Susi Air; Susi Air policy is two boards per bag up to 20kg one surfing charge. Please see detailed cost below for 3 or 4 boards per bag.
•
Body Board Bag policy both airlines; Both carriers treat Body Boards as check in baggage there is no need to pre book, just present your bags at check in time and pay any excess baggage costs if applicable.
•
The new Medan Airport Kualanamu (KNO) is located some 60 km from the city. It is a first class modern facility which houses both International & Domestic terminals under the one roof. Please note that until new hotels are built, there are no transit hotels in close proximity to the airport only in Medan City.
•
Transfer cost from Kualanamu Airport to Medan City cost $25 per person with Surf Board bags one way.
•
Air Port Tax. For all destinations is now included in your airline ticket price.
•
Travel Insurance is Mandatory check out STI rates on the link provided for Australian Surfers only.
•
The Resort is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
•
The Resort does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of surfboards/surfboard bags or any other luggage.

LION WINGS |

Lion Wings schedules one daily return flight to Simeulue, prices are around $70.00 USD return per person.
•
Lion Board Bags 2 to 4 boards maximum weight of 30kg prices are around $30.00 USD return per bag. NOTE we cannot pre book board bags on Lion the first 8 bags at check in get on! the remaining bags will be sent the following day so get in early.
•
Check in Baggage maximum weight allowance is 10kg, excess baggage $1.50 USD per kg.
•
Cabin / carryon baggage weight allowance 8 kg.

SUSI AIR |
•
Susi Air schedules two daily return flights to Simeulue, prices are around $110.00 USD return per person.
•
Board bag including 2 boards with a maximum weight of 20kg around $90.00 USD return per bag.
•
Board Bag including 2 boards with a maximum weight of 30kg around $180.00 USD + $2.50 for every Kg over 20 kg excess baggage.
•
Board bag including 3 or 4 boards with a maximum weight of 40kg around $270.00 USD return per bag.
•
Check in Baggage maximum weight allowance is 10kg, excess baggage $2.50 USD per kg.
•
Cabin / carryon baggage weight allowance 6 kg.
•
Amendments to your booked domestic travel arrangements will incur fees, 3 days notice 25% of ticket cost,
2 days notice 50% and 1 day notice 75% of ticket costs including board bag costs.

Note Susi Air:- Your board bags must be booked at time of ticketing, If you book on line direct with Susi Air there is NO allowance for board bags on the site, you must contact them direct to book in a board bag otherwise when you arrive for your flight you will NOT get your bag on the same flight.
Susi Air uses new Cessna Grand Caravan 12 seat planes so there are weight restrictions, all boards with removable fins with maximum lenght of 2.4 meters.

The Resort will not be held responsible for last minute flight schedule changes by either international carriers or domestic
Susi Air schedules beyond our control.
